Diamonds

Éternel selects diamonds that are used to set its creations according to the universal certification established by the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and based around 4 criteria known as the 4Cs: « Colour », « Clarity », « Cut » and « Carat weight ».

COLOUR

The GIA evaluation uses a colour scale ranging from D (perfectly white diamond) to Z (slightly yellow-tinted diamond).

Éternel only selects perfectly white, colourless diamonds between D and G for its creations.

CLARITY

The GIA’s clarity scale classifies diamonds from FL (« Flawless – a diamond without a single flaw ») to I3 (« Included’ – diamonds with inclusions that are visible to the naked eye). Only diamonds from categories FL to VS (« Very slightly included – diamonds with only very slight inclusions ») are selected for the Eternel's creations. Éternel diamonds do not have any inclusions that are visible to the naked eye.

Each stone is unique and characterised by its degree of clarity, which is determined by the number, size and position of the inclusions. These imperfections are marks left by nature during the diamond’s formation. The inclusions are recorded and mapped on the GIA diamond certificate and AGS Ideal Certificate (Only with diamonds over 1 ct)

CUT

The cut of a diamond finds the balance between proportions and angles in order to achieve optimum brilliance. A very precise cut allows the stone to catch the light and reflect it through its facets, reflecting the brilliance and sparkle back to the eye of the beholder.

The quality of the cut is determined using a scale ranging from « Excellent » to « Poor ». Éternel only selects diamonds of a high quality, either « Excellent » or « Very Good » diamonds.

The quality of our diamonds' cut are of the highest quality possible to achieve the most light reflection and beauty of the diamond. All of Éternel diamonds come with a GIA Report and a AGS (American Gem Society) Ideal Report, which maps and documents the individual diamond´s unique specifications, Light Refraction Index and Symmetry Report.

CARAT

A carat is a unit of measurement for the weight of a diamond. 1 carat is the equivalent of 0.20 grams, or 5 carats to 1 gram. Combined with the other three « Cs », the weight determines the value of a diamond. The heavier the weight, the more valuable and rarer it is.

Why is the price of a ring not proportional to the weight of the diamond? Why is a 0.5-carat diamond not half the price of a 1-carat diamond?

The bigger the diamond, the rarer it is. Therefore, for the same colour, clarity and cut quality, a 1 carat diamond is rarer and therefore more expensive than two 0.50-carat diamonds.

Can a diamond be broken or become damaged?

The word diamond comes from the Greek « adamas » meaning invincible or indestructible. It is the hardest mineral (10/10 on the Mohs scale). A diamond is however still sensitive to scratches from other diamonds, as well as to direct impact. We therefore advise treating your Éternel diamond with care.

Your Éternel gold creation is a precious object that requires attention and regular maintenance in order to preserve its beauty and last over time.

My Éternel white gold jewellery has turned yellow, what do I do?

To give them their unrivalled shine and radiance, our Éternel white gold pieces are coated in a thin layer of rhodium. This metal can alter over time. You can bring your piece to a boutique or an authorised retailer for maintenance and polishing/rhodium plating, your creation will then regain its original white colour.

Returns

What is the return policy if I am not satisfied with my order?

If you are not satisfied with your order and wish to return it to us, you have 30 days from the date your order was placed to make a return request by contacting us at +52 81 15 37 31 66 or eterneldiamonds@gmail.com

You will then receive by email a prepaid return label and a commercial invoice. Please print this document, stick the return label on your package and keep the commercial invoice to hand it over to the courier. You can then schedule the pick-up of your return parcel with our logistics partner.

Please make sure that you return your order in its original packaging and that you include all the items delivered (case and other packaging, protection, security seal, certificate of authenticity, other possible accessories). In case of incomplete returns, you may not be refunded.

How can I track my return?

You can track your Éternel return thanks to a tracking link which is sent once your prepaid label is issued.

Is it possible to exchange an item ordered on the website?

Unfortunately it is not possible to exchange an item ordered on the eterneldiamonds.com website. Please return the creation in order to receive a refund and place a new order online.

What is the refund policy?

Once we receive your return package, we then carry out a quality control in order to verify the perfect condition of the creation as well as the presence of all accessories and documents that were included in the delivery, specifically the untouched security seal. Within a few days, we will proceed with a refund to the original payment method used for your order, provided that the above conditions are met.

Shipping and delivery

Where can I have my order delivered?

We currently deliver orders to the country of Mexico. If you are interested in our rings but reside in another country, please contact us in order to have our rings delivered specially to you. More countries to be added soon.

How much does shipping cost for my online order?

The shipping costs as well as any possible return costs of your order are paid for by Éternel.

How can I track my order?

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email that includes the tracking number of your parcel. 

Can I change the delivery address after confirming my order?

Unfortunately we are not able to change the delivery address once your order has been confirmed. However, once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a tracking number that you can use to change the delivery address on our logistics partner’s online portal.

How long will it take to receive my order?

We do our utmost to ensure that you receive your Éternel creation as soon as possible. As an indication, deliveries usually take place within 7 to 10 working days.

Is delivery secure?

Our logistics partner will hand-deliver your Éternel parcel against your signature.

What should I do if I am not home during a delivery?

If you are absent for the delivery of your Éternel order, our logistics partner will notify you of the unsuccessful delivery attempt. It will then be possible for you to schedule a new delivery time slot directly with our logistics partner. I did not receive my order or I have received a piece that does not match what I ordered

The order

What payment methods are accepted for online orders?

You can pay for your order on eterneldiamond.com using major debit and credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express and other payments methods such as PayPal.

During the checkout process, the supported payment methods are displayed on screen.

How will my order be packaged?

Éternel creations are delivered in their signature box and wrapped with the greatest care in specifically designed packaging. They are delivered with their certificate of authenticity, a shopping bag and the accessories necessary to present the product if you have ordered it as a gift.

If your order includes several pieces, you will receive as many packages as you order.

I have not received a confirmation email for my order

Where can I find the receipt of my order?

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email with your order tracking number and the associated invoice

Can I modify an order once it's been confirmed?

It is not possible to modify the content of an order after it has been confirmed. If your order has already been dispatched, you can return it to us free of charge.
